2D Character Animation – TUESDAY’S – 4 PM TO 6 PM

This is an entry level digital animation course, those who want to learn basic Animation.

2D Animation / Animate (formerly Flash Professional) is the industry-leading software for designers and developers who want to create interactive animations. Animate includes cutting-edge drawing tools and the ability to publish animations. Learn the difference between frames and keyframes and motion tweens and shape tweens. Then, apply these concepts to apply looping animation to create the appearance of realistic movement.

Character Design – THURSDAY’S – 4 PM TO 6 PM –

This Video is from a Tampa Workshop – very informative

This course will expose students to the “how” of character design and development. A large variety of illustrative approaches and techniques will be utilized by students, all of which will give students an opportunity to push themselves and think outside of the provincial box to design their own characters. Students will learn how to create appealing, charismatic different characters through a variety of stylistic drawing techniques using paper and pencil. We will be cover aspects that go into designing characters for animation. Also explore how to shape language as it relates to the characters personality

Comics and Cartooning – THURSDAY’S – 4 PM to 6 PM

We will be covering basic history, giving examples of different cartoon styles over the years. We will be cartooning basic object, vehicles, people and animals to teach exaggeration. Then I can demonstrate caricatures with all the kids and give them a try at each other. The course will finish with a comic strip assignment after a brief history example to cover sequential illustration and story telling.
